September 2025

1. Connect to your purpose

Sea creatures focus on what matters most — to survive, thrive or play

Tip

Be very clear about what the purpose of your communication is.  What is the one thing you want people to know, do and feel?

2. Connect to your audience

The mantis shrimp studies carefully before striking with its powerful punch

Tip

In communication we don’t punch, but we do need to grab attention in a way that’s useful, meaningful and memorable. We do that by knowing our audience and what they care about

3. Connect to your passion

It's delightful to see dolphins play

Tip

Your presentation or paper might be great, but if you want to make it amazing, but your heart into it.  Passion is contagious
